FreeBSD — head/sys/netinet sctp_output.c

Fix a use of an uninitialized variable by makeing sure
that sctp_med_chunk_output() always initialized the reason_code
instead of relying on the caller.
The variable is only used for debugging purpose.
This issue was reported by Peter Bostroem from Google.

[X86][SSE] Vector integer/float conversion memory folding

Tidied up some entries in the folding tables so that they are under the correct comment
section (they were categorised as AVX2 instructions when they're AVX1).

Minor patch agreed with qcolombet.

Bitrig — sys/tmpfs tmpfs_snapshot.c

Check that 'off' fits in an off_t.

Check that 'off' fits in an off_t in tmpfs_snap_dump() and
tmpfs_snap_load_vnode(), so that we don't run the risk of silently
truncating it when we call vn_rdwr(). Pointed out by groth at genua.de;
discussed with natano@.

DragonFlyBSD — lib/libstand Makefile

libstand: Isolate gcc-specific flags, avoid native compilations

Only set -mpreferred-stack-boundary when using GCC. While here, add
a bunch of flags that avoid cpu-specific instructions. Similar flags
are seen in the boot code.

DragonFlyBSD — sys/boot/pc32 Makefile.inc, sys/boot/pc32/boot0 Makefile

boot/pc32: specify some flags based on CCVER

Some flags are gcc-specific, so only set them if CCVER begins with
the substring "gcc". Some assembly files can only be built by the
binutils GNU assembler, so define ASSEMBLER flags which CCVER starting
with "clang" will augment. There is no change for the current base

Bail out of the script on FreeBSD due to deterministic panic issue

PR: 194589

LLVM — llvm/trunk/lib/Transforms/InstCombine InstCombineCompares.cpp

InstCombine: Remove overzealous asserts

These asserts can trigger if the worklist iteration order is
sufficiently unlucky. Instead of adding special case logic to handle
these edge conditions, just bail out on trying to transform them:
InstSimplify will get them when it reaches them on the worklist.

This fixes PR21378.

N.B. No test case is included because any test would rely on the
fragile worklist iteration order.

DragonFlyBSD — sys/boot/dloader Makefile

boot/dloader: Remove duplicate CFLAGS

The -ffreestanding flag gets defined by ../pc32/Makefile.inc which
both platforms pull in. The -m32 flag is defined by ../pc64/Makefile
which only x86_64 pulls in.

DragonFlyBSD — sys/platform/pc64/acpica acpi_wakecode.S

pc64/acpica: specify cmpw in acpi_wakecode.S

The "cmp" instruction is ambiguious in acpi_wakecode.S. The GNU assembler
should emit an error, but instead it just assumes that the operand is of
a wide type. The clang assembler does throw an error, so let's explicitly
use "cmpw" to resolve the ambuiguity.

MFC r273257:
Add a driver for the TI watchdog.

The TI watchdog timer is present on BeagleBone's. Since 2014, U-Boot
has been booting the BeagleBone with the watchdog enabled. We need
disable it on boot to avoid a spurious reset.
The timer isn't exactly precise, but it will do as a watchdog. This
is also a reflection of the watchdog(9) API.

In the future, we could handle interrupts, but the watchdog(9) API
needs to be a bit smarter before that can happen.
